Eat Well
West
This food is a trucker's dreamhearty, homemade American "cuisine" that's a little hard on the arteries but real easy on the buds. The breakfast special is priced at $3.50 and includes bacon or ham and eggs with an Olympus-sized mound of hash browns and a choice of toast, grits or biscuits 'n' gravyall of which is homemade.
The best of the rest is the pork chop dinner special: two giant chops, fresh steamed vegetables, massive salad, homemade rolls, and more for about $7. The steaks are great here, too, and the daily dinner specials range from a roasted half-chicken to Atlantic cod fish & chips to tasty Mexican grub.
Problems? The music tends to be a little '70s heavy, and bad '70s at that (who among ye can digest to Chic?). But a wait staff this courteous and competent could be listening to Noodle Muffin & the Pig Squints for all I care.
