Charley Horse: Back Down/We All Fall Down 45 Hellnote Records

While the press release calls them “ozone grinding” (?) and “Felliniesque,” Charley Horse conjure up different adjectives for me. Barely competent SoCal cockabilly updated slightly with film-dialog samples (the Slim Pickens hooting works well), and featuring a tattooed crooner who sounds more like Glenn Danzig than Eddie Cochran. Owwch.
